Experience in teaching
Dr. Coral Ortiz graduated in Bachelor of Agricultural Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM, Spain) in 1996 and received the PhD degree in Agricultural Engineering from the UPM in 2000. She worked as Assistant Professor at the UPM for three years in the rural engineering area and collaborated with the KU Leuven (Belgium) and the Agricultural Public Research Institute IVIA (Spain). Since 2000 she has worked as a Lecturer in the Rural and Agri-food Engineering Department (DIRA) at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV, Spain). She lectures farm machinery, electrical installations in agricultural premises, postharvest handling and occupational risk prevention in the agricultural sector (ETSIAMN). She has co-directed two PhD thesis, supervised fifteen Master thesis and thirty-six final degree thesis. She has been working in eight Higher Education Teaching projects.
